After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson-a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any "normal" friends.
But things don't stay quiet for long. Percy soon discovers there is trouble at Camp Half-Blood: the magical borders which protect Half-Blood Hill have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and the only safe haven for demigods is on the verge of being overrun by mythological monsters. To save the camp, Percy needs the help of his best friend, Grover, who has been taken prisoner by the Cyclops Polyphemus on an island somewhere in the Sea of Monsters, the dangerous waters Greek heroes have sailed for millennia-only today, the Sea of Monsters goes by a new name.the Bermuda Triangle.
Now Percy and his friends-Grover, Annabeth, and Tyson-must retrieve the Golden Fleece from the Island of the Cyclopes by the end of the summer or Camp Half-Blood will be destroyed. But first, Percy will learn a stunning new secret about his family-one that makes him question whether being claimed as Poseidon's son is an honor or simply a cruel joke.

It amazing he can make sun big in the clod lol.

I read the whole series and all the books are bay!! I completely recommend to read all of these amazing books.

I really want to read this book! I have already read the lightning thief. That book was interesting. I wonder how this one will be..

Once again, I loved all the action and passion. I can't believe Percy Jackson has a cyclops brother. His name is Tyson. Very exciting adventure rescuing Grover.

The sea monsters is the second book of the amazing series, Percy Jackson. I loved it by the first chapter. The main characters are Annabeth Percy Jackson and Tyson. My favorite part is Percy, Annabeth and Tyson fighting all the monsters from the underworld. If you like books about Greek gods than you will love this book, or if you like action than you will love this book. The recommendation age is 11 and older. Please read.

I Dont Have this Cover, But its Awesome. So Grover is Kidnapped, Its Kinda funny how the huge cyclops cant tell He's a Satyr. lol, but i like how Tyson is so Cute, and adorable.

I completely know what you mean, it is literally the funniest thing in the book and how Grover has to act in a girly way and has a to dress up. I cracked up in the middle of the book.

If you haven't read it yet, go check out my other review on Percy Jackson and the Oympians: The Lightning Thief. This book is alike it in so many ways that it just leaves me wondering how Rick Riordan can change these old, overlooked myths into this modern adventure with comedy and action. After I read this series I moved on to the original myths with the old heroes like Odysseus, Perseus, Theseus, and then Achilles. The ood one out right? I think that it's so amazing that this author (and don't forget Percy Jackson himself!) have made me interested in one of the last things I thought I would be. This is just another one of the books that continues to make my jaw drop to the ground in awe.

Amazing book. I luved it.

This book was so confusing, but that is what made it cool. The fleece part was kind of dumb, though. I mean seriously it was kind of cliché.
