After a summer spent trying to prevent a catastrophic war among the Greek gods, Percy Jackson finds his seventh-grade school year unnervingly quiet. His biggest problem is dealing with his new friend, Tyson-a six-foot-three, mentally challenged homeless kid who follows Percy everywhere, making it hard for Percy to have any "normal" friends.
But things don't stay quiet for long. Percy soon discovers there is trouble at Camp Half-Blood: the magical borders which protect Half-Blood Hill have been poisoned by a mysterious enemy, and the only safe haven for demigods is on the verge of being overrun by mythological monsters. To save the camp, Percy needs the help of his best friend, Grover, who has been taken prisoner by the Cyclops Polyphemus on an island somewhere in the Sea of Monsters, the dangerous waters Greek heroes have sailed for millennia-only today, the Sea of Monsters goes by a new name.the Bermuda Triangle.
Now Percy and his friends-Grover, Annabeth, and Tyson-must retrieve the Golden Fleece from the Island of the Cyclopes by the end of the summer or Camp Half-Blood will be destroyed. But first, Percy will learn a stunning new secret about his family-one that makes him question whether being claimed as Poseidon's son is an honor or simply a cruel joke.

I don't want to say much because if I wanted to, I would write out the whole book for you. this book is way better (of course) than the movie, and if you want a good read, I suggest this awesome book
I loved this book so much!!! If you like monsters, then I recommend this book to you. If you also like fiction, then this is the perfect book for you! I think the moral in this story is "Never stop believing". My favorite character in this story is Annabeth because of her "geniusnes" and her kindness. I think you would like a summary, so hear it is…Percy Jackson is NOT a normal kid. He is half blood, which means that he is half god. He figured that out last year, when Poseidon claimed him as his son. Now at school, Percy meets Tyson "His soon to be all known brother Cyclops which he doesn't know is his brother yet". But at school some monsters come, and tries to kill them but don't succeed. When they get to half blood hill, word has gotten around that the magical border that keeps monsters away from the half bloods has gone by a monster that has smashed it. Now its up to Percy and his friends to get the golden fleece (which heals) so they can heal the tree. But can they do it? If you want to find out, read the book!!!!!
The second Percy Jackson is a GREAT book!! It is for ages 7 and up, if you're a good reader. In the book, Percy has a new friend named Tyson who acts like a normal mortal friend but is really something else. Meanwhile, Percy gets a new cabin mate at Half-blood Camp and finds out from his dreams that his friend is in trouble and where the Golden Fleece is. But other bad things are happening too. The tree that once was Zeus's daughter is dying so the protective shield of the camp that keeps the monsters out is not working as well. Percy explains to the whole camp that the camp is in danger and they need to get the GOlden Fleece and hopes that he will be picked to go on a quest to save the camp. But, someone else gets picked and him and his friends secretely go off to get the Golden Fleece. Two of the Gods help, Hermes and Poseiden, Percy's dad. Hermes gives Percey and his friends some gifts, and Poseiden gives them gifts from the water. Will they save Grover and get the Golden Fleece? Or will they fail and never come back...I loved this book because it is so interesting and suspenseful and it makes you never want to stop reading. My favorite characters is Percy and Tyson because they're exciting. This book was funnier than Book 1 and literally monsterously cute!!!! I give this book 5 out 5 stars, the best it can get! and convinces there to be a quest to save Camp
soo awesome !!!
The second installment of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series is one of the only cases in which I actually enjoyed the second book in a series. In this book Percy discovers he has a half-brother, and has escapes from Camp Half-Blood to go to the Bermuda Triangle, also known as the Sea of Monsters. He adventures into the Sea to recover the Golden Fleece, the only magical object capable of saving Thalia's Three, the magical barrier that prevents Camp Half-Blood from being destroyed by monsters. As funny and interesting as the first book, anybody can enjoy this book series, not only middle grade students.
Are you wondering about what book you should read next? Do you think that there are no more books left for you to read in your local library? I strongly recommend that you read the Percy Jackson series. This one’s my favorite, and it could be yours, too! If you need a book to read and can’t find one, or even if you are almost bored with no books, look on! To begin with, one of the main reasons this book series is atop many others is because it is fiction. Many readers enjoy nonfiction because you can explore the real side of the world. However, you could get many other ideas to write your own stories from fiction. Percy Jackson is also mythological, because some Greek gods have main roles in the series. If you are interested in mythology, don’t turn this opportunity down! This book series is also a classic. It’s up there with Harry Potter and The 39 Clues, you know! Second, If you love watching PG-13 movies such as The Hunger Games and Divergent, this book series also has lots of action, as well as an everlasting adventure! You’ll never regret reading this book after hearing how many are in the Percy Jackson series itself! The Lightning Thief The Sea of Monsters The Titan’s Curse The Battle of the Labyrinth The Last Olympian One last reason I want to give for you to read the Percy Jackson series is because the author, Rick Riordan, has a great reputation. Along with the 5 Percy Jackson books, He has made 3 books from the Kane Chronicles, 5 more books from the Heroes of Olympus series (which also features some of the main characters from Percy Jackson), and 2 miniature collisions of the Kane Chronicles and Percy Jackson, each around 40 pages long. Rick also wrote the first book in The 39 Clues series, The Maze of Bones. All of Rick’s books have great ratings from sites like Goodreads.com and Barnesandnoble.com. To sum it up, Percy Jackson is a great book series to read due to its genre, its author, and the information provided in a total of 1,726 thrilling pages! And if you don’t like reading, it’s a lot less pages to worry about than something like Harry Potter, which is almost double! That if you need a book to read, turn down the mythology aisle and pick up a Percy Jackson book today!
I would suggest to read the first book, the lightning theif, before reading this. But really if your going 2 read this u NEED to read the rest of the series, u NEED to read the 2nd series 2!
I LOVE IT!!!♡♥♡♥
It awesome :-)
