Miri lives on a mountain where, for generations, her ancestors have quarried stone and lived a simple life. Then word comes that the king's priests have divined her small village the home of the future princess. In a year's time, the prince himself will come and choose his bride from among the girls of the village. The king's ministers set up an academy on the mountain, and every teenage girl must attend and learn how to become a princess.
Miri soon finds herself confronted with a harsh academy mistress, bitter competition among the girls, and her own conflicting desires to be chosen and win the heart of her childhood best friend. But when bandits seek out the academy to kidnap the future princess, Miri must rally the girls together and use a power unique to the mountain dwellers to save herself and her classmates.

It is an interesting book! it is cool how the people have to choose from a village that isn't well known in that country. The plot is very interesting! I like how at the end, a person close to the prince is chosen!

i really loved this book

i do not recommend this book because i am not a princess person and it was kinda boring........sorry

This book is about a girl named Miri that lives at Mount Eskel. Her life is normal, fun, and exciting but it gets more exciting when she goes to Princess Academy and meets Olana. Soon Miri notices that Olana gives palm lashings and locks up girls in the closet with a rat. Miri decides that it was not fair how Olana treated them so they ran away for a few days, but soon they come back to study for the ball. The day the ball is on arrives and everyone is getting ready for the ball except Britta which does not feel good. A few days later bandits come and want to kill. At the end, the prince chooses some one to marry! Every one is happy!

I currently won this book and so far I think it is a great book for young girls. The first chapters of the book had captured my full attention and now I can not stop reading it.

Miri doesn't want to become a princess, she would rather work in the quarry, but her world is turned upside down when she is sent off to the princess academy. Will she even survive her harsh tutor, much less become a princess, and how will she learn to use the strange language of quarry speak?? find out in princess academy!

Princess acedemy is a two book series that is exactly as it seems, a Princess Academy. Several girls from a village have been picked to train as princesses to be the chosen bride of the prince. The tale is well spn as you learn of the proper and fancy ways of a princess to be.

Lots of adventure in this book. I liked how the girls fought back and never gave up. I would recommend this book to both boys and girls even though the title sounds like it is more for girls.

I really really enjoyed this book. It was amazing. Fourteen year old girl named Mira, from the mountains, is training to be a princess. It was a cute story. I enjoyed how strong and determined Mira was in the story. You could relate to Mira a lot. It's a perfect read to start in the summer. It had a great plot, and amazing characters you could relate to. Like I said it is an amazing book.

I love how strong Miri is for everyone who needs her. She uses her strength to make it through very hard times. This book is great.
