For Rafe Khatchadorian, the little green book called the HVMS Code Of Conduct was his worst enemy. The book later became his best friend when he devised what he thought was a brilliant plan called operation R.A.F.E., standing for Rules Aren’t For Everyone. His mission: To break every rule in the HVMS Code Of Conduct. The one thing I especially liked about this book was the illustrations and way he included the illustrations into the story. I thought they made the book more interesting and more fun to read. I also liked that when you open the flap and take the cover off, the cover on the inside is different. Later when I read the book I realized that it was one of the illustrations in the story. I generally liked this book and it is a good read.
I love the middle school books. This book is REALLY funny! His idea of breaking every rule in the school was super funny! Definitely read this if you like books about troublemakers and imaginary friends!
Meet Rafe Khatchadorian, a middle school kid who is really artistic. After some "bad advice" from his imaginary friend, Leonardo. Rafe starts Operation R.A.F.E., which stands for "Rules Aren't For Everyone". Operation R.A.F.E. leads to a lot of rule breaking. By the end of the year, Rafe would like to break every single rule in that book. Learn about all the humor and family issues of having a stepfather that is kinda bipolar. Experience the crazy plans of Operation R.A.F.E. and learn who Leonardo the Silent really is
This is a hilarious book! You have to read this nerve bending book. It tells a story a teen might tell you. A very realistic and funny story.
I liked it
Funny and interesting. It had a good plot -- Rafe tries to break every school rule in the rulebook while also meaning to pass 6th grade. I liked the part where Rafe and the Dragon Lady are having detention and instead of a punishment, she has him sketch in a notebook.

I really enjoyed this book! It was really funny, yet kind off sad. I loved how Rafe listened to everything Leo said and actually tried to break all the rules in his school! I was kind of confused, why it was called the "worst years of my life" even though it seemed like Rafe had a really good time breaking all the rules. I would definetly recommend this book for anyone going in to middle school, or even in middle school.
