This was a really good start to the series! I love how Rafe comes up with all these creative ideas. And I love the drawings, too. It's like a Wimpy Kid book but better!
This book had a lot of imaginative writing and was very creative. There were humorous middle school disasters that I'm sure made a lot of other students in middle school who relate to some of the mishaps in this story laugh. One thing I didn't like, was that his daydreams were vague and made the book hard to understand at some points. But overall, it was an okay book.
This book starts as Rafe Katchadorian enters 6th grade, when he decides that middle school will be worse than he expected. He decides to break literally every single rule in the "HVMS Code of Conduct." Calling his plan Operation R.A.F.E, Rafe realizes quickly that breaking rules may be harder than he thinks, for many reasons. These include the school bully, mean teachers, and trying not to let anyone get hurt because of his rule-breaking. Join Rafe in this thrilling adventure through 6th grade in this awesome book!
