In this riveting debut, a telepathic girl must figure out why she is the key to her brand-new world—before the wrong person finds the answer first.

Twelve-year-old Sophie has never quite fit into her life. She’s skipped multiple grades and doesn’t really connect with the older kids at school, but she’s not comfortable with her family, either. And Sophie has a secret—she’s a Telepath, someone who can read minds. But the day Sophie meets Fitz, a mysterious (and adorable) boy, she learns she’s not alone. He’s a Telepath too, and it turns out the reason she has never felt at home is that, well…she isn’t. Fitz opens Sophie’s eyes to a shocking truth, and almost instantly she is forced to leave behind her family for a new life in a place that is vastly different from what she has ever known.
But Sophie still has secrets, and they’re buried deep in her memory for good reason: The answers are dangerous and in high-demand. What is her true identity, and why was she hidden among humans? The truth could mean life or death—and time is running out.

I think this book was unique. It had a lot of fiction and my favorite books are books that have fiction. But this book had too much fiction like magic spells another dimension, and trolls. I liked that Sophie didn't know she was part elf. Then Dex came and took her to another dimension. In the other dimension she went to school and made friends. I recommend this book to kids who like fiction.

this book is kind confusing

I just finished reading the series and I loved it! It follows the story of a girl named Sophie Foster, who learns is an elf. After this discovery, she is forced to leave her human family behind and go live with the elves. Dark forces are rising as Sophie uncovers secrets that may cost her life. Read to find out more.

it is a great book and it give soo much details it is soo good I realy recommend it so its good and wonderful and lifechanging

This is a great series I love how this is a hybrid between Sci-Fi and Fantasy and I ship Sophitz

This book looks really interesting and magical which is something that i love to read in books. the front cover also looks pretty cool, so i may try checking it out during the summer :)

I have read several different books with different versions of elves, and this series has my favorite view on them. These are a very interesting read, and they last a little bit longer than the average book because they are so long. A great book and series for any reader!

Amazing! I totally would recommend this book to everyone. Shannon Messenger is my favorite author of all time. Totally read this!!! I would give it 9999 stars if I had the option, but sadly no. 10/10 book, though!

I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE this book. I read it with my mom and every time it left me hanging (basically every time) I would whine and say "NO!!! Just a few more pages please!!!!!!!!) I CANNOT wait to read the rest!! My favorite character is Sophie but I like how funny Dex is. I also think that it's funny how Sophie always blushes when Keefe teases her about Fitz and how Sophie ALWAYS has to see Elwin even though she has an irrational fear of doctors. Whenever you think you know why something happened, there is always WAY more to the story. AWSOME SERIES!! It's possible that there will be a movie about it but you have to vote/sign a petition. (There has to be 1,000 people who sign it so it probably won't happen😕 look up keeper of the lost cities movie and there is a sight with a petition but you might want to ask your parents first)
