I thought it was kind of scary to be stanley but I kind of thought that it wasn't his falt he went to camp green lake because of his ancestor who made their family cursed.

The Book Holes has mystery in the story with characters you either love or hate like the main character stanley yelnats and his friend/for x ray who takes advantage of anything he can get. The Author ,louis sachar shares a wonderful adventure with us called holes.

I really like this book! I think that I like it so much because of the cliffhangers that Louis Sachar does at the end of chapters and make the reader almost feel like they have to read more no matter what. I believe this is a great trait for an author to have which s why this book was so good and I encourage other people to read it.

The book Holes by Louis Sachar is an amazing book that takes you to Camp Green Lake in Texas. The main characters are Stanley and Zero and they show good teamwork. The setting is in the middle of nowhere. It used to be a lake but it is a piece of dried up land. No one knows what is going to happen to Stanley. The readers follow Stanley through Camp Green Lake. But he does something you will never expect. Sachar is the writer that makes you think that you are in the book. Also, it makes you look at the story in a different way. “The lizards have eleven yellow spots, which are hard to see on their yellow-green body. They have black teeth, and white tongues.” That is the writing style that Sachar does and it is amazing. It makes you see what really happens in detention centers. Also, it is cool to see how much people can care for each other. Holes won the Newberry Award in 1999. Which is a very hard award to win.

It's very interesting and very fun to read. It has a lot of good content in it and it was very age appropriate. It is definitely a good book to read.

This book is so amazing! The adventure that Stanley and Zero take together is so cool, and their friendship is even better! BTW There is a book based off of a character named Armpit after he gets out of Camp Green Lake called Small Steps and it is one of the best books I've ever read!!!!
