My teacher had a student teacher and she read the book holes to us and it's amazing. It about where Stanly goes to camp green lake which is a camp for bad boys instead of going to jail for the crime he didn't do. He finds out there is no lake, instead it's hot and they make them dig holes all day. The camp is doing that because there is treasure there. I wanna tell u more but reading the book would be way better. I'd recommend this book to anyone whother obviously loves to read.(everyone loves to read)

This book is awesome, especially if you love a bit of mystery! Stanley Yelnats has found himself in a terrible prison camp after he "steals" a famous baseball player's famous shoes- or they just fell from the sky. His family has been cursed for years, so at least he was expecting it. So when Stanley arrives at Camp Green Lake, he finds lots of boys digging tons and tons of holes. The adults say this is to build character, but all the kids there know the adults are hiding something. Stanley soon goes on a quest with his new friend Zero, and they soon find out that they are more than a pile of nothing

I love Louis sacher

This is my favorite book of all time!!!

''The story of the hidden treasure, alone with the warden, Stanley's friend Zero, and the curse on the Yelnats family are all part of a compelling puzzle that has taken generations to unravel.'' Yelnats is Stanley spelled backwards... Stanley Yelnats was a poor kid, and soon he had a choice to make. Go to Camp Green Lake, or jail. Well, ''Green Lake'' sounds nice..so he agrees. As soon as he gets there, it's a dry place, no sight of the color green, and no lakes. The name totally does not make sence with what it looks like. This ''green lake'' camp is for bad boys who did not follow the laws. Stanley ends up trying to look for his friend Hector Zeroni/Zero. He takes a risk, and shall go out in the heat to look for Zero. But it seems that the reason he is at Camp Green Lake is because of Zero. He learns how his family is poor, and that the curse put on his family was real. I recommend this book to people who like reading risk taking books.
