This book "Artemis Fowl" is an very interesting and fun book. This book's main character is Artemis. The name sounded like a girl's name but actually he was a boy.He is a twelve years old boy and he is very smart.Once he got into internet he started to look for treasure. Also he believe there is fairy in the world and there is in the story. He also met the leprecon and also met their leader the Captain Holly. At last they really find the treasure, but Captain Holly was captured and he have to choose one of them.He did the right decision and he have a new life after that.
Thought it was the best mystery and crime book!
This book is AMAZING. Eoin Colfer has done a great job describing every word in this book. You may think that a 12 yr-old genius in the world is impossible. Colfer has made Artemis Fowl that 12 yr-old prodigy in real life.
Looks super cool and mystierious...
You must read it!
When I first saw the book in my English class, I decided to read its back to learn what it was about. I was immediately offended, because the main character was a male with the name of a Greek goddess that really wasn't a fan of men. After reading the first books, I regretted judging the series before reading it, and not doing so sooner. Mixing reality with magic, Eoin Colfer presents us with the story of Artemis Fowl, a twelve year old genius in his quest to get money from fairies in order to fund the rescue missions for his missing father. I really love this book (series) for many reasons. Number one, it proved me wrong. As I said above, I didn't want to read it because the main character had a woman's name. I don't know why, but because of that, I thought the book wasn't going to be that good. I was wrong. I deeply loved Artemis. He is a genius and rich. He technically is the antagonist, yet it is proven that he has a heart, especially in later books. I was also proven wrong in the matter of Holly Short. I didn't like her chapters in the beginning, and didn't like her either. After reading it the second time I saw that she was actually a really good character, and started liking her even more in later books. This is a series that, no matter how old you are, it's impossible to hate.
I liked this book because it combined fantasy and crime into one.
Wow amazing book if you have not read what are you waiting for
one of my top 5 books! Artemis is Awesome! :) loved it !
OMG I LOVE THESE BOOKS. Sadly I've only read the Arctic Incident.
Try to imagine this: An child genius named Artemis. Fairies. Kidnapping. Ransom. Leprechauns. Now connect them together. Impossible, right? No, it's not. I'll tell you why.. Captain Holly is not your average Fairy. Or Leprechaun. She is the only female Sprite, or fairy to be in the LEPrecon unit. Instead of those tiny cute 'pot at the end of the rainbow people', this is real. This is their police. This is what keeps the magical community together. But then, there is Artemis. An child prodigy. It's a shame that he's a criminal mastermind. At the age of 12. All because he basically does not have parents. His dad, believed to be dead, is no where to be found. His mom started going crazy after her husband "died." Artemis's family used to be rich.. until Artemis Senior, his father died. Now, all their wealth is gone. Artemis is determined to get back their family's wealth, and will stop at nothing to get it. Even if no one believes in those fairies. But Artemis knows they're real, and has a plan to capture one. Now, can you connect the dots? Holly is taken for ransom. Gold Ignots, to be exact. Still, the longer he keeps Holly, he knows that the situation will soon spiral out of control. Now, all that matters is if Artemis is willing to go and save both the human race and the fairy race.. Before they both have the biggest war they will ever have. But still, Artemis will stop at nothing to get the gold.. But the LEPrecon unit will stop at nothing to get back Holly..
