This book was pretty good; it’s about Dawn, who babysits for the Barrett’s, however she starts to babysit for them... TOO MUCH. She runs into a lot of problems, too. Like the house is always a MESS, Marine is allergic to chocolate, and Mrs. Barrett’s ex husband calling. At the same time, Kristy Thomas, president of the BSC, feels left out because Dawn and Mary Anne’s parents are going out together. If there was a minor mistake about this book, it would be the art by Gale Galligan. It isn’t the best compared to the other BSC books he drew and Raina Teligmeiner. This book is amazing! It’s about a boy named Logan, who Mary Anne is convinced she has a crush on. Logan asks her out to a school dance, and Mary Anne comes upon some problems quickly. It’s also almost Mary Anne’s 13th birthday! What will happen to Logan and Mary Anne? What will Mary Anne get for her birthday? Does Mary Anne’s dad become less strict? This book is alright, some bits are a bit boring though, and probably one of the not-too-good BSC books. It’s about Mary Anne, when the club gets into a big fight and part ways, Mary Anne finds a new girl named Dawn. They quickly discover their parents (Dawn is divorced) were actually dating in highschool! What happens to the club? Will their parents start dating again? Will Kristy allow Dawn to be in the club? Even though it’s the first book of the BSC series, it’s one of the best! It shows how Kristy starts the baby-sitters club and their early challenges. Although Ann M. In my opinion one of the best BSC books! Kristy has a great idea for a summer playgroup they start, but is still a little annoyed at Dawn, and is feeling left out now that Mary Anne is spending so much time with Dawn. Also, Claudia’s grades aren’t great and her parents are not happy about it. Janine on the other hand has strait A’s! In addition to that, Mimi starts to feel more tired and has... A STROKE! Claudia has to Mimi-sit her and teach her the basics about words, and how to speak! Will Claudia and Janine understand each other? What happens to Mimi? What happens to the playgroup?
