I read this so long ago but I still remember it since it's such a memorable book.

This is my favorite book of all time, a must read. It's about a girl named Melody who can remember everything that anyone has ever said to her- the trouble is, that she can't speak at all. People think of her as dumb and well useless. What nobody realizes is that she is probably more intelligent than her teachers. She finds a way to speak which turns not only her own world upside down- but others as well. Out Of My Mind will make you laugh,cry, and smile. It is a book that truly shows that you shouldn't judge someone just by how they look or seem most of the time. Get to know them, deep down inside they could be a great person!

You're right they should've done a flat surface, it would've prevented this from happening.
