reeahe1617's book review was featured in Undying Glory The Story of the Massachusetts 54th Regiment.
All in all, Undying Glory by Clinton Cox is a very good book. My rating is a solid 9/10, and here’s why. Undying Glory tells the story the Massachusetts 54th Regiment, the first troop of African American soldiers. First thing’s first, this book tells the story of the 54th perfectly. Being a nonfiction story told by Clinton long after the events happened, the wording makes it seem like the story is told from the point of view of an immediate bystander. Emotion is used perfectly and captures the devastating nature of war. When a character (Whom I will not name because it would spoil the book) dies in the war, it is horrifying because Clinton got the reader so connected with the character. Why was it a nine out of ten instead of a ten? Although being a very powerful story, the story is a little bit hard to follow. Due to the very advanced language of the book, some plot details seem a little bit confusing. I recommend this book for anyone who is looking for a factual, intense, and powerful story of war. I do not recommend this book for anyone younger than 9, or the faint of heart.

The book “Chasing Lincoln’s killer” is a very good book because it tells you about not just the Assassination of Abraham Lincoln but more past that. And what had happened like, John Wilkes Booth being killed 12 days after the assassination that shocked me. I’d recommend this book to people that like non-fiction and crazy adventures and history.

This Novel really caught my eye because of the diversity of characters and I wasn't disappointed. You get views from either side of the battle and you get to see what it was like for those sides. Many of the characters allow you to get attached to them.

I loved the book although I believe they could have saved certain character deaths for other characters and some not all, but that’s not a deal breaker. I would give this book a 3.5-4 stars out of 5. You could in some scenes and parts really feel how Jeff was feeling and you could feel also how hard some choices were such as staying with the union or joining the confederates . I would highly recommend this book to anyone in 7th grade who are VERY mature, I say this because of the language and other aspects in the book, so I would suggest this book mainly to high-schoolers

Well honestly this book wasn’t the most interesting book in my opinion. Reading isn’t something I prefer to do so that’s why i say this, whoever is reading this hopefully you like. It does have a couple interesting points like when he loses his arm or his dad gets hurts.

My reaction to the novel is that Jacob and Jessi are very tough kids. Also dealing with Virgil was really difficult and hard for the characters to talk to other people after that. At the end finding Pa was what made it really good. I would recommend this book to people who like the outdoors and travel because that's what this book has.
