The atmosphere is too thin up there for the after shock to push the debris that much.

It doesn't fly, it orbits. It would just sit on the floor of your room.

We're all ready in space and it doesn't effect us that much. And besides, the junk is only in orbit, not every where. We probably wont be sitting around in the exosphere waiting it out.

Just think of all the wild life up there having their habitat destroyed and their water poisoned.
