This book is a heartwarming and emotional book that shows how much the love between a boy and his dogs really is. It also shows how much they are willing to do for each other. When your reading this, be prepared for a tear jerker- I had teary eyes at the end.
This is my favorite book on the face of the Earth!!!! It's about a boy who works & saves money for 2 years to buy 2 puppies that he names Little Ann and old Dan. He loves and cares for them soooooooooooooo much!! Then they win a hunting competition together too. But a few nights after the competition they go hunting and get attacked by a mountain lion and Old Dan ends up dying. The boy,[Billy] buries him. Then Little Ann goves up the will to live and dies a day after. A long time after all that happened Billy and his family are moving and billy wants to say goodbye to his dogs. When he gets there, there is a sacred red fern growing over Old Dan & Little Ann. :,]
