When fifteen-year-old Eragon finds a polished blue stone in the forest, he thinks it is the lucky discovery of a poor farm boy. But when the stone brings a dragon hatchling, Eragon soon realizes he has stumbled upon a legacy nearly as old as the Empire itself.

Overnight his simple life is shattered, and, gifted with only an ancient sword, a loyal dragon, and sage advice from an old storyteller, Eragon is soon swept into a dangerous tapestry of magic, glory, and power. Now his choices could save—or destroy—the Empire.

It was a fantasy book, pretty detailed and long about a boy who finds a dragon named Saphira. (the boy's name is Eragon) Read the book to find out more

really want to read it!

really want to read it!

Eragon was a normal farmer boy, hunting to keep his adoptive uncle and cousin from starving. When he finds a vivid blue stone, his only mindset is that it will earn him a few loaves of bread. But little does he know that the stone will change his life forever.

Every book written by this author is fabulous. One of my most favorite book series. For this to be this authors first written work, he is a natural. Yes he was also a High School student when he started writing this book. The best part is it is set in mid evil type setting, with of coarse a dragon and knights camps and castles. All kinds of creatures including elves. I love this book, and actual was able to get the authors signature on my books. I Love this Book!!!
