Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

I love Wonder so much

I LOVED THIS BOOK! ONE OF MY FAVS

Next to Harry Potter, this is one of the BEST BOOKS EVER! It is a heartfelt story about a deformed kid who just wants to be normal. It is told in many different perspectives. I am not reading the sequel. When you need to cry, this is the book yo go to!

Sorry, I meant I am NOW reading the sequel. typo!

Awesome! I cannot wait to read the sequel!

This is an amazing story for all ages. It is an emotional story about a child who is made fun of and is being treated with others in middle school. He makes friends, enemies, and love in this magical tale!

This book is really good and I think more people should read it

I loved this book. I cried on more than one occasion, and RJ has the perfect sense (I'm guessing, I'm in fifth grade) of what kids in middle school are like. It is such a beautiful book! You should definitely read it!

this is amazing!!!!!!!!!!!

I love this book! its so sad how a little boy is always getting made fun of because his face is different from others because he had about 49 surgeries when he was little and keeps getting them his statement in the book tells all about it it says 'Iwon't describe what I look like because what your probably thinking its worse''

This book is really good. If you read it you will love it!

One of the best books I read. This book is saying its not about what's on the outside its what's on the outside that matters the most. If you are a person who loves to read and cares about other peoples feelings then this would be the house for you.
