Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.
The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.
I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.
August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.
"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

I think that this book Wonder is a wonderful heart warming story. Even though Auggie has a disorder he still has friends, that will always be there for him. His sister and parents, are also very important in this story, because they also help Auggie along the way.
I love this book and that's why I'm rereading it.
I've read Wonder, and from what I remember, this tale is about "Auggie" Pullman, who has a facial problem. But together, Auggie and his friends create a wonderful journey through Beecher Prep. Many people support Auggie, like his sister, Via, and his parents. I like this book so much, that I would wan't to re-read it all over again and maybe help create the sequel. Thanks R. J. Palacio!
Loved it!! Such a great read, I absolutely love the characters in that book.
I've read this book and it's hilarious , heartbreaking , and happy Isn't that the 3 h's?
there's going to be a movie about this book. The trailer already came out!
People shouldn't judge others by what they look like. This books explains a lot about it through Auggie's life. It's a great book!
If you love realistic fiction this will be your fav. book!
Wonder is a marvelous masterpiece that shows that only the inside counts. Auggie has been secluded from the outside world because of a facial deformity, & he has always been afraid of revealing himself to others. Don't ever judge this book by its cover. A good read, a great experience!
