Raina Telgemeier's #1 New York Times bestselling, Eisner Award-winning graphic memoir based on her childhood!

Raina just wants to be a normal sixth grader. But one night after Girl Scouts she trips and falls, severely injuring her two front teeth. What follows is a long and frustrating journey with on-again, off-again braces, surgery, embarrassing headgear, and even a retainer with fake teeth attached. And on top of all that, there's still more to deal with: a major earthquake, boy confusion, and friends who turn out to be not so friendly.

This book is amazing. I love it . It has a great plot as well as that it is really interesting not to mension it is based on a true story. Iwould personally give this book a five out of five! I would recommend this book to ages 9-14

bella2525 I loved what you wrote its like you published the book.

I liked this book.

I also loved this book because I have had four of my teeth taken out by surgery for braces and basicly that is what the story is about. Also it is a graphic novel.

I love Smile, it is an exciting story about a girl getting braces and it is so good I put another book that the author wrote on hold at the library.

I love this book, and would recommend it to anyone who either is or isn't looking forward to braces. It is a graphic autobiography of the author that I got from a bookstore summer reading sale and I have read about 20 times (give or take a few times) and I still love it. So basically Raina goes through an accident that only begins the orthodontic journey that starts when she is middle school and ends in high school when she is finally confident enough to smile.

OMG i love this love this book
