Now a musical!

Matilda is a sweet, exceptional young girl, but her parents think she's just a nuisance. She expects school to be different but there she has to face Miss Trunchbull, a menacing, kid-hating headmistress. When Matilda is attacked by the Trunchbull she suddenly discovers she has a remarkable power with which to fight back. It'll take a superhuman genius to give Miss Trunchbull what she deserves and Matilda may be just the one to do it!

Here is Roald Dahl's original novel of a little girl with extraordinary powers. This much-loved story has recently been made into a wonderful new musical, adapted by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.

I have not read this book but I have Watching to movie. Movie or book, it's a great story!!

i did'nt read the book but i saw the movie just like u i agree its good!

Matilda is a genius. It's not her fault that her parents don't care about her! By the age of 3, she has taught herself how to read, so when she learns that she can go to the library, she goes every day. She reads all kinds of books, and figures out ways to punish her parents for bad behavior, and finally her mother and father put her in kindergarten, with the wonderful Miss Honey, her teacher. Miss Honey immanently sees Matilda's calculator brain and amazing reading skills, and tells Miss Trunchbull, the awful headmistress, that she should be moved up to a higher class. Miss Trunchbull says no, and when she goes to talk to Matilda's parents, they are not at all kind to her. So, Matilda is bored out of her mind, but then she finds she can move things! With her brain! So, when she learns what Miss Trunchbull did to her friend, Miss Honey, she goes and figures out a way to defeat the Trunchbull. At the end, Miss Honey adopts Matilda as her own, and they live happily ever after! Great ending!

you told the story away shhh

Roald Dahl is a great author and this is one of his best books! I recommend this book for students in third grade and above.

I love this book!!!! It is about this wonderful girl, and her parents ignore her and be mean. Later, she figures out that she has powers! She finds this wonderful teacher and at the end the teacher adopts Matilda! Another awesome ending!

Roald Dahl once again made an exciting tale: this time about Matilda. I would totally recommend this book because the book is a classic. Matilda, a little girl who lives with a family that doesn't love her, was a clever genius. After reading a LOT of books from her local library, she starts to become so smart, that her brain can do magnificent things at her willpower. She plays pranks on her family to get back at them for being so mean to her. One day, her dad decides to let her go to kindergarten, which she dreamed of going to. She goes to kindergarten and already likes the teacher, Ms. Honey. There, she also meats the headmistress, Miss Trunchbull. Matilda learns that Ms. Trunchbull was Ms. Honey's aunt, which seemed unlikely. After learning that, she tries to get Ms. Trunchbull resigned and let Ms. Honey have back which was hers, Ms Honey's house. She succeeds and later gets adopted by Ms. Honey and live happily ever after. REALLY GOOD BOOK!

Matilda is a great book to read. It is about careless parents not taking care of their Matilda but, Matildais very smart, she read all the books in the library, and she has a power that whenever she stares at something it comes too her

That book is amazing! It is about a girl who is very gifted and smart, though the only person who believes in her is her teacher!

Matilda, to me, was an amazing heroine and a strong protagonist in this story. I have always loved eccentric books, and Roald Dahl was one of my favorite authors so when I learned about Matilda I ate the book up. Clever characters were always my favorite, and Matilda was one of the most clever. In the end, I wished this story had a sequel because I thought the story should continue.

I loved this book! It is about a sweet and smart girl named Matilda. Everyone except her teacher hates her. I loved the ending when Mrs. Honey (the teacher) adopts Matilda. :)

This book is great so far. You will love it. The book is about a girl that is in 2nd grade and everybody hates her except her teacher. She have magical powers to. Read this book to find out.
