Now a musical!

Matilda is a sweet, exceptional young girl, but her parents think she's just a nuisance. She expects school to be different but there she has to face Miss Trunchbull, a menacing, kid-hating headmistress. When Matilda is attacked by the Trunchbull she suddenly discovers she has a remarkable power with which to fight back. It'll take a superhuman genius to give Miss Trunchbull what she deserves and Matilda may be just the one to do it!

Here is Roald Dahl's original novel of a little girl with extraordinary powers. This much-loved story has recently been made into a wonderful new musical, adapted by Dennis Kelly with music and lyrics by Tim Minchin.

This book is amazing because she has to overcome her fears by controlling things.Matilda has to try to scare her principal so she doesn't disipline children people by throwing them in a scary mini cell.

watched the movie awesome : )

You really should read this charming tale. It is about a girl who is a GENIUS. I'm telling you now. She's REALLY smart. She is in kindergarden but she is a human calculator! I loved this book.

I read this book a long time ago and I liked it that matilda was smart like me! but she was waaaaaayyyyyy smarter than me.

I love matilda. It's about girl who gets magic and uses it on her most horrible horrible parents ever. Here magic changes the world forever.

This is a really good book about a little girl named Matilda who is a genius, but her parents don't realize and think that she is stupid. When she goes to school and meets Mrs. Honey who realizes how great she is. I can't tel you anymore or I would give away the book. But it is really good, and a pretty quick read.

This book is as funny as Big Nate..... about the same level. Her father is so mean that I want to punch him. Being a criminal.. even worse than that! This book made me laugh out loud until I cried. I mean literally, I did cry! Best Roald Dahl book.

I liked it. Its obvious that it’s fiction because nobody can move stuff with their eyes and nobody can pick up a person and throw them because they would go to jail. My favorite part was when Matilda got to stay with her teacher while her family went to Spain.

This was an amazing book by Roald Dahl. I loved every page of it! I think that this tale of a special little 5 year old is AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I hope you read it and maybe be lucky enough to go see it on broadway.

Matilda is about this girl who has a supernatural skill of being able to levitate things with her mind. Her parents are absolutely awful to her as well as her brother. When she was little, she figured out a way to walk to the library to read books and became really smart- even smarter than children her age. She always pulls pranks on her parents because they think she is idiotic. Some of the pranks include hiding a parrot in the chimney and putting super glue into her father's hat. She then meets a school teacher named Miss Honey who is amazed at Matilda's intellectual abilities and offers to put her in a higher class. But a mean headmistress, headmistress Trunchbull, doesn't allow her to. So she also plays pranks on the headmistress. In the end we find out that Miss Honey is the daughter of ms. Trunchbull. Miss Honey adopts Matilda after her parents explain to her that they are running from the police. Matilda could no longer use her levitating powers after she gets moved up to 6th grade. Miss Honey states that maybe it is the use of a lot of brainpower due to the work in 6th grade.
