Over 6 million people have read the #1 New York Times bestseller WONDER and have fallen in love with Auggie Pullman, an ordinary boy with an extraordinary face.

The book that inspired the Choose Kind movement.

I won't describe what I look like. Whatever you're thinking, it's probably worse.

August Pullman was born with a facial difference that, up until now, has prevented him from going to a mainstream school. Starting 5th grade at Beecher Prep, he wants nothing more than to be treated as an ordinary kid—but his new classmates can’t get past Auggie’s extraordinary face. WONDER, now a #1 New York Times bestseller and included on the Texas Bluebonnet Award master list, begins from Auggie’s point of view, but soon switches to include his classmates, his sister, her boyfriend, and others. These perspectives converge in a portrait of one community’s struggle with empathy, compassion, and acceptance.

"Wonder is the best kids' book of the year," said Emily Bazelon, senior editor at Slate.com and author of Sticks and Stones: Defeating the Culture of Bullying and Rediscovering the Power of Character and Empathy. In a world where bullying among young people is an epidemic, this is a refreshing new narrative full of heart and hope. R.J. Palacio has called her debut novel “a meditation on kindness” —indeed, every reader will come away with a greater appreciation for the simple courage of friendship. Auggie is a hero to root for, a diamond in the rough who proves that you can’t blend in when you were born to stand out.

If I had to choose just one book to call my favorite, Wonder would be it. I've read it so many times and I never get tired of it. I just love how the readers can see through the eyes of many characters and not just one. Each one is unique in their own way, and although you may not like all of them, you will definitely be able to relate to one. This book was full of a lot of heartwarming, funny, and relatable moments. The film was also great and I cried so many times. Overall, I really recommend reading Wonder, I can't even stress how much I love it.

I feel very bad for the main character, im sure most of you guys have already read this book, but I just gotta say its super emotional but the book in general is very nice.

I think that this book is so good. Auggie is such a wonderful and unique person. This book makes me think about others, and how they struggle, and that some people are different, and that's okay.

I love this book and film

I liked this book but there were parts where it was sad. I give it a 3.5/5

R. J. Palacio's way with words paints a heartbreaking, touching, stunning picture in her bestselling book "Wonder." In this global phenomenon, the main protagonist August Pullman should be just another kid about to enter middle school. Right? Not really. Auggie has Treacher Collins syndrome, a rare condition that has kept him homeschooled and surgery-undergone his entire life. Even with the knowledge of his differences, though, Auggie could have never predicted what would change when he entered public school. The ridicule, the tears, the unexpected, and at last, the phoenix rising out of the ashes. "Wonder" is a beautiful story that will leave every reader speechless.

"Never judge a book by its cover"- August (Auggie) Pullman is an ordinary kid, but faces judgement from some of his classmates because of his facial differences. He has been homeschooled for all his life until the fifth grade. One of my favorite quotes from this book is "You can't blend in when you were born to stand out." This book is very inspirational, and I recommend it to all grades, and rate it 5/5.

I love this book. It is a great book for school and really tells a story about anti-bulling. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a great, true story.

This is a heart-touching storey really amazing it teaches lessons and just really puts love out there. Its also sad but this teaches you to never ever give up and follow your heart. Also, it teaches you to be self-confident and love yourself. Now I know to never give up and be myself no matter what!
