This book is about an "Ugly" named Tally Youngblood. She is 15 and so ready to become a "Pretty," a mandatory surgery that happens when you turn 16. After all, who would turn down the ultimate beauty operation,and some time just to hang out with your friends and just P-A-R-T-Y? Her beat friend has already changed and moved so Tally feels lonely. Then she meets Shay, a rebel that wants to leave the towns and go live in a forbidden place. Shay really wants Tally to leave with her, but she declines. When the Specials find out, unless Tally finds Shay and turns her in, Tally won't turn Pretty.
I just finished this book and i LOVE it!!!! So amazing and intriguing. It's about a girl named Tally who makes a friend over the summer who has the same birthday as her- which means they will turn "Pretty" (getting a huge makeover that makes you ultra-beautiful) on the same day. However, the girl (named Shay) doesn't want to be pretty. And when Shay runs away, Tally is faced with an impossible decision- find Shay and turn her in, or never become pretty. Ever. -E., (Sky)

Everyone wants to become Pretty, especially Tally Youngblood. Shes been waiting all of her life to turn 16 and become Pretty. But when her summer friend Shay drags her into the wild and crazy things happen.
