A hilarious Southern debut with the kind of characters you meet once in a lifetime

Rising sixth grader Miss Moses LoBeau lives in the small town of Tupelo Landing, NC, where everyone's business is fair game and no secret is sacred. She washed ashore in a hurricane eleven years ago, and she's been making waves ever since. Although Mo hopes someday to find her "upstream mother," she's found a home with the Colonel--a café owner with a forgotten past of his own--and Miss Lana, the fabulous café hostess. She will protect those she loves with every bit of her strong will and tough attitude. So when a lawman comes to town asking about a murder, Mo and her best friend, Dale Earnhardt Johnson III, set out to uncover the truth in hopes of saving the only family Mo has ever known.

Full of wisdom, humor, and grit, this timeless yarn will melt the heart of even the sternest Yankee.

It's the best book

This book was really amazing. I wonder what it was like to run a cafe, try to find her long lost mom, and surviving a hurricane with her friend and her friend's mother. This book deserves a five star rating!

I love this book! But my copy has bad words. I do not recommend this for grades 1rst to 4rth.

This book was pretty enjoyable. If you like suspense and detective books, try this.

Like the title of a song, it has meaning to it. Same as on this book cover! Three Times Lucky's genre is mystery and suspense. This book is an outstanding, whimsical, and engrossing book that's bound to get you thinking! Moses (aka Mo), the protagonist is a definite interesting character herself! Rising sixth grader, she solves the mystery of someone's death! Through twist and turns, they finally have all the proof they need to crack this case once and for all! The question is, who and why did he kill him?

I think this book is for grades 5th - 100 years old it is a great story and she really gets lucky

Great mystery that also covers some childhood issues of identity, friendship, social status, and even abuse. Full of well developed characters and twisting and turning plot! Not sure why people are taking stars off their reviews for a few curse words....that is just how Mo would really talk, also they are minor and in my opinion do not detract from the appeal of the book at all!

This books about a boy that's looking for his mom because he lost her during a storm when he was little.

The main character is actually a girl.

that is not what the book is about...at all.

I have the book. now I just have to read it.

It is awesome! You should read it right away!

This book is amazing, and (laughs) I first thought Mo was a boy before the author mentioned her as a 'she'.
