This book is a combo of the first two books In the Nancy Drew series. In The Secret Of The Old Clock, Nancy Drew, the daughter of lawyer Carson Drew, has a unexpected run-in with two poor aunts and they are taking care of a young child. They claim that a cousin promised them a sum of money in his will, but the only will that came to light after he died left all the money to the richest family in town. And Nancy vows to help the small family, thus Nancy gets involved in a mystery with all kinds of crazy happenings. In The secret of the hidden staircase, Nancy has a new adventure ahead of her. Her friend’s aunt flora is having hauntings! Of course, Nancy agrees to the challenge. during Nancy’s investigation, she meets some dangerous people and her father works hard to stop the train from crushing River Heights. Can Nancy solve the mystery, or will aunt flora’s property be sold, and give River Heights a train? Fun fact: the hidden staircase was actually made into a movie!
