For generations and generations, the women of Grunhilda’s family have stirred up trouble in a big, black pot. Grunhilda inherits her famous ancestors’ recipes and cauldron, but no one believes in magic anymore. Despite the fact that Grunhilda’s only useful skill is cooking up potfuls of foul brew, she finds a job listing that might suit her: lunch lady. She delights in scaring the kids until she meets Madison, a girl with thick glasses and unfinished homework who doesn’t fit in. The two outsiders recognize each other. Madison needs help at school and at home, but helping people goes against everything Grunhilda’s believes in as a witch! Will this girl be able to thaw the Lunch Witch’s icy heart? Or will Grunhilda turn her back on a kindred spirit?

It is about a lady named Grunhilda who is witch and loves torturing children as a lunch lady. This goes until she meets a little girl Madison... then the world that Grunhilda lives in changes
Grunhilda, a lonely witch, has inheritted her family's specialty; brewing cauldrons of witchy stuff. But, no one seems to believe that Grunhilda is a witch. When she meets a shy little girl, they become fast and unexpected friends. Will Grunhilda become friendly like the girl wants her to, or will she turn back to her own ways?
Most people will recoil at the word witch, and will instantly think of a crazy lady stirring a pot of weird gunk and odd objects. Most people won't think that a witch could get in a 100000 mile radius within "Nice". But this witch is different, instead, she finds out that she can be nice, even with the rudness taught by her ancestors.
i liked this because the witch found out she could be good even tho she was always taught to be bad and i wear glasses to its not always fun
