Jason has a problem. He doesn't remember anything before waking up on a school bus holding hands with a girl. Apparently she's his girlfriend Piper, his best friend is a kid named Leo, and they're all students in the Wilderness School, a boarding school for "bad kids." What he did to end up here, Jason has no idea-except that everything seems very wrong.

Piper has a secret. Her father has been missing for three days, and her vivid nightmares reveal that he's in terrible danger. Now her boyfriend doesn't recognize her, and when a freak storm and strange creatures attack during a school field trip, she, Jason, and Leo are whisked away to someplace called Camp Half-Blood. What is going on?

Leo has a way with tools. His new cabin at Camp Half-Blood is filled with them. Seriously, the place beats Wilderness School hands down, with its weapons training, monsters, and fine-looking girls. What's troubling is the curse everyone keeps talking about, and that a camper's gone missing. Weirdest of all, his bunkmates insist they are all-including Leo-related to a god.

Rick Riordan, the best-selling author of the Percy Jackson series, pumps up the action and suspense in The Lost Hero, the first book in The Heroes of Olympus series. Fans of demi-gods, prophesies, and quests will be left breathless--and panting in anticipation for Book Two. The accessible and dramatic cover art by graphic novelist Nilah Magruder will attract a new generation of readers.

This book is amazing so far. I wish it would go on forever. I am a huge fan of the Percy Jackson Series and I am happy to still see the same characters. The new main characters are Jason son of Zeus, Piper daughter of Aphrodite, and last but not least, Leo son of Hephaestus. I strongly advise you to read this book.

I wanted to read this book because it is my favorite series

I am a big fan of Percy Jackson and the Kane chronicles series. This book introduces three new characters and it is told that Percy Jacksons missing. Overall I love this book.

This book was so exciting!!! I only started it for an assignment, and I got so caught up in it that I finished it and got the next book soon after.

I was jumping for joy when I saw this book at Barnes and Noble. This book is a continuation off of the Percy Jackson and the Olympians series. Although Percy was the narrator of the original series, this book is told in first person by different characters: Jason, Piper, and Leo. The Lost Hero introduces new plots and has plenty of twists and turns. I love it because it actually enables me to let go of the Percy Jackson series but it still kept the characters from that series so I was familiar. I have fallen in love with these books (there is more than one) and the characters.

I love these books! As soon as I finish one I turn and YAY! There's more! I love Greek Mythology and these books just SCREAM it! I can't stop reading them! (Except when I'm not reading them. :P ) (P.S. The Heroes of Olympus books also have a bit of Roman Mythology.) These are just THE BEST BOOKS EVER!

I think the Percy Jackson Series is deserving to be one of the best best sellers and that this is one of the most intriguing book series that makes you want to read on and on. My fav character is Leo!
