Twelve-year-old Percy Jackson is about to be kicked out of boarding school... again. No matter how hard he tries, he can't seem to stay out of trouble. But can he really be expected to stand by and watch while a bully picks on his scrawny best friend? Or not defend himself against his pre-algebra teacher when she turns into a monster and tries to kill him? Of course, no one believes Percy about the monster incident; he's not even sure he believes himself. Until the Minotaur chases him to summer camp. Suddenly, mythical creatures seem to be walking straight out of the pages of Percy's Greek mythology textbook and into his life. The gods of Mount Olympus, he's coming to realize, are very much alive in the twenty-first century. And worse, he's angered a few of them: Zeus's master lightning bolt has been stolen, and Percy is the prime suspect. Now Percy has just ten days to find and return Zeus's stolen property, and bring peace to a warring Mount Olympus. On a daring road trip from their summer camp in New York to the gates of the Underworld in Los Angeles, Percy and his friends -- one a satyr and the other the demigod daughter of Athena -- will face a host of enemies determined to stop them. To succeed on his quest, Percy will have to do more than catch the true thief: he must come to terms with the father who abandoned him; solve the riddle of the Oracle, which warns him of failure and betrayal by a friend; and unravel a treachery more powerful than the gods themselves.

Wow!!! Really cool

This series is so addicting. I read it 2 years ago and I still can't get it out of my head. Rick Riordan found a way to put Greek Mythology in a story everyone would love. Now I am reading the Heroes of Olympus series which might be even more addicting . This series will constantly leave you hanging. It will make you upset our the deaths but it will change the way you look at the world. It will leave you thinking what will happen next.

hi hi

cool

This book is about a Greek Demi god (half god half human) that goes through a lot of problems and enemies throughout the whole series of J.K. Rowlings spectacular series of action packed books, and one thing I forgot to mention is that Percy Jackson is the Child of the ancient sea god friends with Zeus and is called Neptune I think. Please read this book all action book readers and take a step into the world of Olympis.Thank you for reading.

I really liked this book because it has a lot of twist and turns that you don't expect. If you are into mythology, Greek gods and adventure I think you would really like this book! Basically a boy named Percy finds the truth about himself and Zeus's lightning bolt got stolen. Percy got accused of stealing it. So it is up to Percy and his 2 friends to return it.

How useful is the website that the author has created for his followers? Is it worth taking a look at? Why?

100% awesome is what I say about this book!

I LOVE this book!!

This book is really good. The genre of this book is definitely fantasy because there are gods, and talking animals. The book will leave you hanging on the edge of your seat because there are many things that you didn't expect and happen anyway. Percy is the main character and is the son of Poseidon. He goes on this quest to the underworld and across the country to find stolen property of the gods. You will be surprised at many things that happen throughout the book and for a challenge, try to figure out what happens before the characters do.

This book is about a boy named Percy Jackson who learns that his father is Poseidon, the sea god in the Greek myths. He goes to a camp to train and ends up going on a quest to find Zeus's master lightning bolt to calm down Zeus because his lightning bolt was stolen. Zeus thinks Poseidon stole the lightning bolt.
