This book rocks. I happen to be obsessed with fairytales, so I understand why I love this book, but even if you don't like fairytales, this book is for you. I loved Goldilocks' character. Anyway, Alex and Connor live a pretty tough life. When their dad dies, they move out of their beautiful house into a rental, and their mom is always working. When Grandma visits, she gives them what Alex has always loved: A book called Land Of Stories. Then, it starts humming. Alex, who happens to be an organization superstar, starts losing things. She discovers it is from the book. Alex and Connor get sucked in, and there is only one way out: the wishing spell. They have to find a bunch of objects from their favorite stories, including Cinderella's slipper, a lock of Rapunzel's hair, jewels from Snow White's coffin, etc, etc. At the end, they discover just who the wicked queen really is, and who exactly used the wishing spell before them. And, they wonder, "Did Grandma know about this?" SPOILER ALERT: I'm serious, if you are still reading, and haven't read this before, stop! SPOILER ALERT: Grandma is the fairy godmother, making them related to everyone they met! Such an awesome book! Read it!

AHHHH! I love this book so much I am speechless! Besides an actor on Glee he is the best author ever! This book is daring, dangerous, and exciting! Everywhere you turn there is something happening! Read this book and there is no turning back! Please take my Word! It is great

I love the Land of Stories 1!!! It is an amazing book about Alex and Conner Bailey who accidentally transported into another world where Fairy tales are real. You should read about their adventure with Foggy, Goldilocks, and Red Riding Hood.

Ok, so hi everyone! So, in this book, there are 2 twins, Alex and Connor. Their dad recently died, so their mom was very busy and they already lost their old home. On their birthday, The twin's mom had to work for a long time, and decided to call their grandma to help, who Alex and Connor were always eager to see. For their birthday, their grandma gives them the fairy tale book they grew up with. The thing is, the book was magical, and brought them to the Land of Stories, where they had to find a way to get back home, before the Evil Queen gets to them... The only way was using the Wishing Spell, multiple items collected

I started yesterday so right now I'm Chapter 8 but it's REALLY good! One thing is that Alex and her twin brother have a dad that died! Sooooooooooooo sad!

I've started reading it and it's just awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!

This book The Land Of Stories is bassed on a mythical lands that the characters experince every day. I think you should get this book becuase of all the action it has.

This was one of the best books I have ever read. Period. Some people look at the cover and say, "Oh, that looks boring, it's a fairy tale." I usually like action books, but this is an very special story, mixing all of the fairy tale characters that I knew. The author adds different stories he made up, like The Curvy tree, about a tree that was curvy, and different from the rest of the trees in the forest. One day, Woodcutters came to chop down trees, and only the Curvy tree remained, because it could not make any useful items, being Curvy. This was the exact story the 2 twins, Conner and Alex (a girl) had heard about from their dad. BTW, the second book came out, The Enchantress Returns. I'm in the middle of it!

I decided to read this book is because I thought it would be interesting ,and I was right.

oh my gosh im only on chapter 17 but this book is really well plotted and so creative i absolutely love it! its so cool for a actor to wright this too s that is what i think is pretty cool...but i think everybody who's into fairy tales should read this im not kidding!!
