Evil tree. Bad Apple?

Twenty years ago, all the evil villains were banished from the kingdom of Auradon to the Isle of the Lost--a dark and dreary place protected by a force field that makes it impossible for them to leave. Stripped of their magical powers, the villains now live in total isolation, forgotten by the world.

Mal learns from her mother, Maleficent, that the key to true darkness, the Dragon's Eye, is located inside her scepter in the forbidden fortress on the far side of the island. The eye is cursed, and whoever retrieves it will be knocked into a deep sleep for a thousand years. But Mal has a plan to capture it. She'll just need a little help from her "friends." In their quest for the Dragon's Eye, these four kids begin to realize that just because you come from an evil family tree, being good ain't so bad.

Melissa de la Cruz is a intricate author with a well known taste that is envied by many other authors, and this book show it. She perfectly describes the characters in a way that lets you know that the characters are their own people but that they take strongly after the people of whom they descended from!

This book is so amazing. It's filled with action, humor, adventure, and you feel like you are stuck with villains like Lady Tremaine(Cinderella's evil stepmother),Dr.Facilier(From Princess and the frog),Captain Hook, and so many other evil villains. Meet Mal,Maleficent's evil daughter, she is the coolest and talented student in Dragon Hall. She is determined to prove to her mother is she the cruelest of them all by getting the Dragon's Eye for her mother. Meet Evie(my favorite),she is Evil Queen's daughter and she has been castle-schooled for years. So that means she doesn't know the ins and outs of Dragon Hall. She is a quick study but she falls of so many of Mal's tricks. Meet Jay,he is Jafar's son and the best thing he likes is to steal.Jay and Mal are frenemies forever(Isle of the Lost thing) and he's not going to miss out on the quest for the Dragon's Eye. Meet Carlos,he is Cruella De Vil's son he is very smart and his machine may be the key to locating the Dragon's Eye and ending their banishment for good. 20 years all the evil villains were banished from Auradon to the Isle of the Lost. That place looks like you are watching a horror movie with sad, lonely, and stressed people. They have no magic, wifi,or video games! Our favorite villians Maleficent to Mother Gothel now live in total isolation and the whole world forgot them. But hidden in the Forbidden Fortress is the Dragon's Eye which is the key to the villains escape and only the smartest, evilest, nastiest villain can find it.Will it be Carlos,Evie,Mal,or Jay.In the quest of the Dragon's Eye,these evil kids are gonna proof that just cause you are in a evil family tree doesn't mean you are a bad apple.

I recomend this book to any one who does not like reading. Because I am a kid who did not like reading and I mean at all. But then my teacher told me I should read this book. So I did I thought I could read it for the fun of it. But about 15, 20 pages in I realized I really like this book so for the rest of my spare time I read the book. Then I finished it in 1 week. So I took a AR quiz on it and i got an A+ also known as (100%). So I thought to myself ever kid should love to read. So I thought I should go on DOGO and write a review about it and maybe people will read this book and find their inner love of/for reading.
