Orphan, clock keeper, and thief, Hugo lives in the walls of a busy Paris train station, where his survival depends on secrets and anonymity. But when his world suddenly interlocks with an eccentric, bookish girl and a bitter old man who runs a toy booth in the station, Hugo's undercover life, and his most precious secret, are put in jeopardy. A cryptic drawing, a treasured notebook, a stolen key, a mechanical man, and a hidden message from Hugo's dead father form the backbone of this intricate, tender, and spellbinding mystery.

it is really awesome I didn't read this one but I read the other black cover version it is sensational

Pretty good! The pictures are amazing, and the story is interesting. I recommend!

I really loved how that the story was told with illustrations and words, so it felt like it was a movie. You should read Wonderstruck, it's very similar to this book.

I think this was a very exciting book and i recommend it.

This was a wonderful book and the end was very confusing the first time I read it. Read it a few times and it will become clear. There are many pictures. It is a thick book. it shouldn't take a long time to read There are about 640 pages. Read his other book WONDERSTRUCK. Brian Selznick is a wonderful author.
