At the conclusion of The Mark of Athena, Annabeth and Percy tumble into a pit leading straight to the Underworld. The other five demigods have to put aside their grief and follow Percy's instructions to find the mortal side of the Doors of Death. If they can fight their way through Gaea's forces, and Percy and Annabeth can survive the House of Hades, then the Seven will be able to seal the Doors from both sides and prevent the giants from raising Gaea. But, Leo wonders, if the Doors are sealed, how will Percy and Annabeth be able to escape?

They have no choice. If the demigods don't succeed, Gaea's armies will never die. They have no time. In about a month, the Romans will march on Camp Half-Blood. The stakes are higher than ever in this adventure that dives into the depths of Tartarus.

This paperback edition will include a never-before-seen short story, "The Crown of Ptolemy," in which Percy and Annabeth fight alongside Carter and Sadie Kane, and more bonus content!

awesome book! anyone who likes action, comedy, mythology would love this book and the series.

This.Book.Is.Awesome!!!!!!!! YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!!!!! PLEASE!!!!

i love this book so much.It is action-packed and to me it was almost I could feel there pain, not the pico stuff, and my fav part was at the end when they had the ackward moment with Percy and nico. Ackward

I absolutely loved this book. He bring in characters that you didn't here too much about int he other books, and he makes you see them in depth, bringing you closer to the character. I cant believe we have to wait another year for the next book!!

It was a pretty good book, really loved the bob/small bob combo. tartarous was just epic and action-packed. Nico was odd,but it explains so much from titans curse , like the "is annabeth your girlfriend" question , and how , just after he said that he hated percy,he banished the skeletons who tried to hurt him,and how he ran away in fear. That just makes so much sense that it didn't make before. Also, When Aphrodite promised to make percy & annabeths love lives strange, he may have been hinting at more "pico',as my friend and i have labeled it,in the next books.

Oh, honestly, 'Pico', as you call it, could never be a thing. Nico needs to just face Percy and move on.

Pico?? What about Percy and Annabeth? They've been dating since forever!

Percy and annabeth forever!!!

OMG! A soon as you read this you'll know Rick Riordon has done his best work yet! This book goes deeper into depth about Nico DiAngelo's past. Once you read that part you'll cry. And also Percy actully meets a couple of familer faces, some he would like to see and some not. And to make this book better, THE COMBO OF BOB AND SMALL BOB!!!!

Oh my gods! Do you fangoddess? Because I do..
