I finished this book and I can't wait for the next! There are many cliff-hangers making it nearly impossible to stop reading the book. At first when I encountered the series, I was like "oh well, this is not a good series." I was defiantly wrong. Once I got into the second chapter of the first book, I could not stop reading! The books got better and better, and the fourth, was the best. Percy and Annabeth are stuck in Tartus, a place where it is nearly impossible to escape. Meanwhile, the Warship crew is headed toward the House of Hades. There is a slight chance they can get Percy and Annabeth out of Tartus. Also, the Doors of Death are open, meaning once a demigod or god kills a monster, the monster reforms back in Tartus and goes back to the mortal wold. If they close the Doors of Death, stopping the evil titan Gaia, the goddess of earth, will have some hope. If they do not stop Gaia, the wold will be hers forever. I like this book better than any other book I have read. When the next book comes out, I will read it in about a day.

In the House of Hades, the fourth book to the series: Heroes of Olympus, by Rick Riordan, as you may have left off from The Mark of Athena, Percy and Annabeth fell through a hole plunging into the scary Tarturus, following Arachne. While they try to survive the hell-ish conditions down there, Nico, Leo, Piper, Frank, Hazel,Jason, and don't forget: Coach Hedge!- they are in no better of a situation. They are still aboard the magical Argo Two, they can barely trust each other anymore. They bump into the "Ice Queen" and her mates. She flicks Leo wayyyyyyyyyyyyy wayyy wayyyyyyy wayyy somewhere, far far away on a deserted island. Or is it deserted? Leo meets another girl and he can compare her to the Ice Queen but he cannot escape the island. They both hate each other and the girl kicked him out of her "territory" and they avoid each other as much as possible although Leo has peeked at her then and there and soon she starts to peek at him at night ;) Back on Argo- they meet a furiously talented son of Posiedon, but he ain't as nice as our seaweed brain, Percy. This guy has a giant, man-killer hungry pet turtle that has sunk ships and eaten every soul aboard it. Jason has a down feeling- yes, he's been in a sticky situation- but not as sticky or shall I say...smelly situation as this! The Argo trusts Jason but barely. Jason dosen't even trust himself! Can the Argo escape that place and get to the house of hades in time for the meeting od Percy and Annabeth and still rescue Leo and complete their quest????
really want to start this series, really good!
just like all his others, a great success
In The House of Hades, by Rick Riordan, Percy and Annabeth have fallen into Tartarus, and they are struggling to stay alive, minute by minute. They need to find the Doors of Death, and quickly. There seems to be no hope for them—Tartarus is the home of thousands of monsters that would kill them in seconds. As they travel through Tartarus, they never know what could be hiding in the shadows. Meanwhile, Percy and Annabeth’s friends are sailing on the Argo II to rescue them from Tartarus. As Gaea starts to wake, the monsters are becoming more powerful and numerous. If Percy and Annnabeth aren’t rescued, the Argo II and its travellers will be in big trouble. In Rick Riordan’s latest book in the Heroes of Olympus series, The House of Hades has more action and adventure then ever before as Percy and Annabeth journey through Tartarus. Unsurprisingly, I really liked this book. Rick Riordan is one of my favorite authors, and I have been reading his books since I was in second grade. I love how he continues to mix mythology with the modern world. It is so cool to imagine the classic myths surrounding us in everyday life. This is a great series, with as much excitement, or more, than the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series. I love Riordan’s writing—each book in this series has been incredible. The only thing that I wasn’t very fond of was the book’s length. Sure, it’s full of action and battles and monster-killing, but after a few hundred pages there are just too many monster battles, and it can drag on. Riordan could’ve made it a little shorter than 583 pages. Other than that, I loved it. The setting and battles were very well described, and the characters’ physical conditions and emotions were cleverly portrayed. This book was a great fourth installment in the Heroes of Olympus series. I am so excited for the fifth and final book in the series to come out, but I am sad for the end of Percy Jackson’s story.
I TOTALLY LOVE this seires!
I LOVE this author, and have read pretty much all of his books! This is a great book chock full of adventure and danger, with some laughs and facts along the way. If you like adventure and fantasy, this is a must read! But I wouldn't recommend you to read it if you haven't read the other books in the series.
i love this book and series. it is so sad what happend to bob and damesen
ME TOO!!
Review: It is one of my favorite books, I definataly recommend it and I would totally rate 5 out of 5 stars. P.S. sorry about the bad spelling.
The House of Hades is a really fast-paced good book. This book leaves you hanging there after every chapter to read more. I really liked it. I also recommend the Kane Chronicles by Rick Riordan. It is basically like the Percy Jackson series but with Ancient Egypt gods.
