Bilbo Baggins is a hobbit who enjoys a comfortable, unambitious life, rarely traveling any farther than his pantry or cellar. But his contentment is disturbed when the wizard Gandalf and a company of dwarves arrive on his doorstep one day to whisk him away on an adventure. They have launched a plot to raid the treasure hoard guarded by Smaug the Magnificent, a large and very dangerous dragon. Bilbo reluctantly joins their quest, unaware that on his journey to the Lonely Mountain he will encounter both a magic ring and a frightening creature known as Gollum.

The hobbit is about a hobbit named Bilbo, he lives a normal hobbit life until the wizard, Gandalf comes to tell him of an adventure to come. Soon Bilbo sets off with thirteen dwarves to seek the treasure from the dragon Smaug. For those who are into fantasy-adventure.

This was a very good book. I loved it because of how Bilbo was supposedly "inexperienced" but he saved the rest of the crew more than once. The characters really touched my heart.

This book is vert well written and is action packed. It can be a bit hard to read but after a while you get used to it.

this book, when I picked it up, I put it down. sorry, hobbit lovers, but the language is wayyy to confusing

This book is a great read for vacation! Once I picked it up, I couldn't put it down!!!!!!

A book about Bilbo Baggins the hobbit and his amazing journey! Follow him as he faces many fairy tale creatures and gets a powerful ring!!!

I rate The Hobbit 5 stars. It is definitly full of action and adventure, and it also has amazing characters that you definitly want to know. It stars Bilbo Baggins, a 50-year-old hobbit. When a wizard named Gandalf the Gray shows up at Bilbo's hobbit-hole (in The Shire) with 12 dwarves following him, Bilbo's got no idea what's coming… The Hobbit is a wonderful book that sucks you into Middle Earth and I definitly reccomend it.

I gave the hobbit 5 stars because it has adventure and action.Bilbo baggons goes on an adventure with a wizard and nine dwarfs.Bilbo is a hobbit [wich is about half the size of a dwarf].And the wizard is gandalf and he is a human.Just not mortal. What I liked most about the book was when they were fighting their way out of the goblin lair underground. Then came the orc chase sceen.Orcs are big wolves with goblins riding them.Thats my book review on the Hobbit.

I've read this and watched the movie, its a great book and I cant wait for the second movie
