Meet Daisy Bauer and her sometimes best friend, Graham, who are determined to break Daisy's dad out of prison in this hilarious middle-grade debut.

No one believes her, but Daisy Bauer knows her dad has been wrongfully imprisoned and that it's up to her to break him out of jail (aka Club Fed). She has a plan that she's calling the Graham Cracker Plot because it was all Graham's idea. She just needs a miniature horse, a getaway truck, and a penny from 1919—the idea coin.

This funny, nail-biter of a novel is about friendship and admitting you're wrong. Debut novelist Shelley Tougas balances humor and warmth against themes of family, broken trust, and unconditional love against all odds.

This book is great, if you like humor and a small level of mystery in a book. I really love this book!!!

It's funny, and if you're over 8 years old, relatable. when i was reading this book, all i could do was laugh. Enjoy reading this book!

The title is intriguing, the characters are witty, but the plot is so-so, and was saved by the excellent writing. "The Graham Cracker Plot" interested me when I first saw the cover. As soon as I dove into it, I didn't regret much. I finished it quickly but the ending was not well-planned. The narrator is a twelve-year-old girl nicknamed "Daisy" Bauer whose father, "The Chemist," was wrongly thrown into jail. She hates how unfair his situation is because all he did was have a chemistry experiment go wrong and their house caught on fire. Being a rash firebrand, she teams up with her sometimes-best friend "Graham Cracker" to break him out of jail. The plot was overall okay and the smart and funny writing was what sweetened it. I loved how Daisy was snarky sometimes, but I didn't like how much of the book was cliché, so I knew almost exactly what to expect. I recommend this book for middle-school kids that want a lighthearted book that'll be easy to get into and get out of. There is some crude language said and the mention of drugs is near the end. The words are big on each page and it'll be a short read. I would say this book is good, but not a memorable book that I'll dwell on in the future.

I have not read this book but it sound like it's okay!

I loved this book so so so so so so so so so so so much!!!!! It is a great realistic fiction story!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It is about a girl named Daisy who's dad gets in jail because of accidentally blowing up a house using an experiment he made. ( Daisy calls her dad ''The Chemist'' because he loves chemistry ). While Daisy tries to get her dad out of jail, a lot of things happen. When Daisy's mom goes on a vacation to Mexico, she has to stay at her moms best friends house. The thing is, she hates being around Graham. ( Graham is her moms friends son ). Will Daisy get her dad out of jail? Will she survive being around Graham for a while? If you want to know what will happen next then read the book!!!!!!!! I think the message in this story is ''Keep on trying''. I think this book is meant for both boys and girls because the main characters are a boy, and a girl. My favorite character in this story is Daisy because she never gave up. My favorite part was when Daisy stood up for her dad at the prison. I hope you like it!!!!!!!!!

Daisy's father has been wrongly accused of a crime, and now has to serve time in jail. Daisy, after getting herself in trouble at the jail, is banned from visiting her father. Her idea? Break her dad out of jail, and escape to Canada. She teams up with her annoying after-school friend that lives in the same trailer park as her, Graham, and Graham's cousin, Ashley. But will their plan work? Or will it crash to the ground? This book was really eye-opening to me, and I think that everyone should read it.

Aurora Dawn, Aka, Daisy, is a girl who lives in a trailer park with a boy who is her after school friend Graham. After a very bad visit at club fed(which is the prison.) Daisy has an idea to break her father out Aka the Chemist. After her mother leaves with her boyfriend, Daisy feels neglected and she plans to break the Chemist out with Graham, so that they can live together in Canada because why not. Graham has an idea that he got from a coin that he got from his uncle. When they get to club fed Daisy is told the truth, the real truth, not the one where he didn't do a crime he didn't do. Will the truth leave Daisy's relationship with the Chemist, broken? Will Graham ever stop having bad ideas? Does it matter if you tell a turkey it is thanksgiving? Find out in the Graham Cracker Plot.
