welve-year-old September lives in Omaha, and used to have an ordinary life, until her father went to war and her mother went to work. One day, September is met at her kitchen window by a Green Wind (taking the form of a gentleman in a green jacket), who invites her on an adventure, implying that her help is needed in Fairyland. The new Marquess is unpredictable and fickle, and also not much older than September. Only September can retrieve a talisman the Marquess wants from the enchanted woods, and if she doesn’t . . . then the Marquess will make life impossible for the inhabitants of Fairyland. September is already making new friends, including a book-loving Wyvern and a mysterious boy named Saturday.

With exquisite illustrations by acclaimed artist Ana Juan, Fairyland lives up to the sensation it created when the author first posted it online. For readers of all ages who love the charm of Alice in Wonderland and the soul of The Golden Compass, here is a reading experience unto itself: unforgettable, and so very beautiful.

the book was hard to understand but i still liked it. The book is pretty much about a girl who goes on own little fairytale adventure on a boat. she goes to different lands. i think thats pretty much it... i recommend this book to anyone enjoying fantasy or aanyone who likes to confusing books.

Very confusing, I didn't think it was the best, but I'll tell you the plot, and let's see if it sounds interesing to you. This girl goes in a fairytale land with her own ship. She goes many different places. If you've heard of them it's sort of a mix between the wizard of Oz and something else: not quite sure though.

I thought this was a hard book to read when I first started it, because it started so slowly. But I kept on reading, my mom made me. And I ended up liking it. It felt like a more grown-up fairytale. There were so many crazy and funny characters in it.

I actually did not enjoy this book because I found it really hard to follow and be interested in. I also don't really like fantasy, and this book was that genre. I liked the beginning, but got so bored with the book that I did not finish it.

i love it its amazing

This book wasn't the best. It was hard to get into but had so much fantasy and adventure to it that any young girl would want to experience.

I wish they would make this into a movie. It's like Wizard of Oz, Neverending Story, and Around the World in 80 Days all wrapped into one. You will go on so many adventures and wish you were actually with September. Read the next book too. It's also great!

Ok Ok i started it.....I began to like it...then..i Didn't it was to confusing, the plot was practically non existent! I had no clue what was going on! So, I gave it a chance...then I gave up.... :/

There is a girl named September-really odd name! and she wants some adventure in her life.... She meets green wind and goes to fairyland. She is told that Fairyland is ruled by a cruel Marquess! she has to go through a lot!
