A thrilling new series soars above the competition and redefines middle-grade fantasy fiction for a new generation!

The seven dragon tribes have been at war for generations, locked in an endless battle over an ancient, lost treasure. A secret movement called the Talons of Peace is determined to bring an end to the fighting, with the help of a prophecy -- a foretelling that calls for great sacrifice.

Five dragonets are collected to fulfill the prophecy, raised in a hidden cave and enlisted, against their will, to end the terrible war.

But not every dragonet wants a destiny. And when the select five escape their underground captors to look for their original homes, what has been unleashed on the dragon world may be far more than the revolutionary planners intended . . .

i thought it would be like how to train your dragon. it kinda was my dad says it reminded him of game of thrones for kids. it was good if you like dragons. i might read more of them but quest storys arent my favorites

I love this book. If i were one of the dragons i would be the sand one with the missing bud at the end of its tail. I found it so intresting and if I had to I would read it again. Its is like real life in the dragon world. So I recomend this book to all dragon lovers. Oh and I love when the dragons grew up.

i dint really enjoy thibook. it ws kind of boring. especially in the middle where they have to train hm. it was confusing too. i wouldnt reccomend

I love this book

This is a very good book. It has a great plot, fantastically realistic characters, and an easy to follow yet pleasantly spotty backstory. My only regret is the cliffhanger, I can't wait to read the next book. I highly recommend this book to all older readers.

I love, love the book "The Wings of Fire" I have recently finished the book. It is about seven dragon tribes which have been at war for generations. They are locked in an endless battle over an ancient, lost treasure. A secret movement called the Talons of Peace is determined to bring an end to the fighting. The prophecy is a foretelling that calls for great sacrifice. Five dragonets are collected to fulfill the prophecy, raised in a hidden cave and enlisted, against their will, to end this war.

Wings of Fire is a fantastic novel for avid fantasy readers, and even those who are die hard fans of some other genre. It is a very well though out story that appeals to all parts of you. In it, a dragon named Clay decides that, along with his friends, he will decide to escape their land in order to avoid being present during a war. But, although you should make your own choices in life, sometimes trying to change your fate can be dangerous...
