"With a bolt of lightning on my kicks . . .The court is SIZZLING. My sweat is DRIZZLING. Stop all that quivering. Cuz tonight I’m delivering," announces dread-locked, 12-year old Josh Bell. He and his twin brother Jordan are awesome on the court. But Josh has more than basketball in his blood, he's got mad beats, too, that tell his family's story in verse, in this fast and furious middle grade novel of family and brotherhood from Kwame Alexander.

Josh and Jordan must come to grips with growing up on and off the court to realize breaking the rules comes at a terrible price, as their story's heart-stopping climax proves a game-changer for the entire family.

I loved the way the character changed throughout this book.

Great book that my parents bought for my brothers, my mom would read this to us before bed.

"The Crossover," by Kwame Alexander is an amazing book. My Mom went to new york, met Kwame Alexander and brought me back a signed copy. When I started reading it, I stopped because it starts out a little boring, and I thought I was not going to like it. Also, I don't like basketball, and at first the book only seems to be about basketball. As it turns out the more you read, the better it gets. It's all about Josh and his relationships with his family. I know that makes the book sound boring, but it's actually really good. The fact that the book was written in verse makes it very interesting to read. All Josh's troubles start when his twin brother Jordan starts dating the new girl, and and stops spending time with him. Then he gets angry and makes some bad choices. (I'm really trying not to give anything away here.) Then Josh finds out his dad's problems are worse than he thought. It is a really good book and one of my favorites. I would suggest this book to anyone who likes to read.

It's about 2 twins that love basketball and do different moves and it tells how they do them

A good book. It was a book about basketball, written in poems. It was preety good, and very well could have been a true story.

I like this book because it is a cool way of writing a story and it was fun to read. i also like it because the author make it rhyme throughout the story.

First of all I just want to say thank you to DOGO for sending this book. Second of all I wanted to say it was a great, fun, sad (I am not going to spoil the sad part, but I'm telling you it's SAD), easy read.I really liked this book because it's unique from other books, it's written in a rhyming poem format, which stands out. I really enjoyed the plot, the characters, and the moral itself that sometimes things change and sometimes it may take a long time to deal with, but things change...so once again thank you DOGO for sending me this heart whelming story.
