Four children have been chosen to compete in a national competition to find the tastiest confection in the country. Who will invent a candy more delicious than the Oozing Crunchorama or the Neon Lightning Chew?

Logan, the Candymaker's son, who can detect the color of chocolate by touch alone?

Miles, the boy who is allergic to merry-go-rounds and the color pink?

Daisy, the cheerful girl who can lift a fifty-pound lump of taffy like it's a feather?

Or Philip, the suit-and-tie wearing boy who's always scribbling in a secret notebook?

This sweet, charming, and cleverly crafted story, told from each contestant's perspective, is filled with mystery, friendship, and juicy revelations.

I have to read this for my grade and I have to read and I hope that it is going to be really really good

this book repeats like a bunch of times every time is a little different. its about finding the best candy in the world. they couldnt find one and they know all about candy so they decided to try and make their own candy and make it the best in the world

This book was similar to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, but a more interesting plot with characters. This book involves toy trucks, spies, a good violinist, allergies, and of course, candy. The book was really fun, because there were so many twists to the story that it was exciting 100%.

I have tried to read this book twice and am still trying to read it but I really can't get into the story. I don't know if it is because the story almost repeats itself because it is told form the four main characters view points. So one character started the story but when you get to the next character the story starts all over again from their view point. If you can get into this story it is pretty good. Logan is the son of the Candymaker and lives in a candy factory. Every year there is a contest for kids who are 12 to invent their own candy. If they win their candy will be distributed all around the world. Logan's father and grandfather both won the contest and he is feeling a lot of pressure to win too. There are three other contestants Daisy Miles and Philip.

The Candymakers is a great book about four kids (Miles, Logan, Daisy, and Phillip) who are all in a candy-making contest. Each child has a secret that nobody else knows about. It was a funny book and amazing for readers from 4th - 8th grade. The only part that I thought was confusing was when the whole day started over but in a different person’s point of view. Other than that, it was fabulous.

This is one of the best books I have ever read. Wendy Mass is such a good author! This book is really amazing and it's about four different kids competing against each other in a candymaking contest. Each has their own pasts and reasons why they entered the contest. This is a really great book and I definitely would recommend it.

this ever changing mystery makes Wendy Mass a reader to watch. the reader thinks one thing about a character but the readers view changes when the story shows through the eyes of a different characters. i really liked the change of perspective because it showed why the kids did certain things. the story follows four kids in a competion to make the best new candy in the Life is Sweet candy factory. my personally favorite character was Miles who spoke about the afterlife, talked backwards, and loved books. the individual stories going on by the different kids will surprise you. READ THIS!!!

4 kids are in a candy making contest who will win you don't know till the end. it has twists and turns in the book while trying to win!

This book shows a young privlaged child learning how to survive in the real life with competition and friendship. I recommend this book to children of all ages.
