Should i read it
This is one of my most favorite books.... It reminds me a lot of Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and Willy Wonka..... Since the chapters are told in different points of view, they have colorful insight into what each character feels about the competion. Heads up, here's a clue that hints for a thing that happens in the end of the book: HARMONICA!!!!!! I love this book, and there's a sequel coming out in 2016. I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I do not like the book
The book I read was The Candymakers by Wendy Mass. The book is about four kids who are competing to win the Confectionary contest by making a unique candy. The kids all have different reasons why they want to be in the competition. I enjoyed reading The Candymakers because there is different creations and all the characters have a different story. I could see the scenes vividly in my mind while I was reading. The Candymakers is realistic fiction because this could also happen in real life. Anyone could read this book because there is diverse topics like friendships and people being deceiving. It's a candy creation contest but not everyone is there for just that. An internal conflict is when Logan tried fighting the urge climb a tree in the Tropical Room. He loves the smells in that room and he wants to climb the tree ,but he knows his parents won't let him and he has to wait until he's older. An example of external conflict in the book is when the bees in the honey room start producing different tasting honey. Most of the candy in the factory is produced with honey ,so when the honey doesn't taste right then the candy won't taste the same. Luckily Logan figured out a way to get the bees back to normal.
This book is about 4 kids. Logan, Miles, Daisy, and Phillip. Logan, being the Candymaker's son, has a lot of pressure put on his shoulders. All four kids enter a candy competition. As they compete against each other, they learn what it feels like behind the scenes in a candy competition. They learn a special secret that may or may not help them win. Read the book to find out!

I checked this book out from the library and I read half of it but I never got to finish the other half.
