This book is very educational yet suspenseful and exciting! It is a little repetitive and a bit boring in some sections but otherwise a good, short read.

"Set in the Cro-Magnon era, this story of Tao, who longs to be a cave artist, features a boy whose lameness is viewed as a curse, making it impossible for him to be one of the Chosen Ones . . . Denzel carefully sets his stage, combining a strong plot with a wealth of well-researched details."--Booklist.
