This book was pretty good. It revolves around 4 children. Henry and Bennie, the two boys Henry being the oldest and Benny being the youngest, and Jessie and Violet, Jessie being the 2nd oldest and Violet being the 3rd oldest. The book was good, but there were some parts in it I didn't like like them finding the mother hen's 5 eggs and cooking them for a meal, but it was still satisfactory.

This book has great characters, incredible plot and describes what situation they are in. This book is incredible for younger readers and I recommend this book for kids 4-8.

The Boxcar Children Series is a book about orphaned kids named Henry, Jessie, Violet, and Benny Alden. This book is by Gertrude Chandler Warner. These 4 orphaned kids find a boxcar and turn it into their home. In this series they have adventures, and these books are always interesting to read. They fear their uncle who did not like their parent's marriage but yet is surprised to find out he is a kind and caring person. He moves their boxcar to his backyard. I rate this book 5/5 and recommend it to grades kindergarten to sixth grade.

Awesome book, I would totally recommend it over the graphic novel ones. One of the few books that I own, and it's great!
