His mom, he quickly learns, is anything but ordinary. In fact, she’s a member of an ancient order of knights, the Blood Guard, a sword-wielding secret society sworn to protect the Pure—thirty-six noble souls whose safety is crucial if the world as we know it is to survive.
Now all those after-school activities—gymnastics, judo, survival training—she made him take, make sense. For suddenly Ronan is swept up in a sometimes funny, sometimes scary, but always thrilling adventure—dashing from one danger to the next, using his wits to escape the Bend Sinister, a posse of evil doers with strange powers. Falling in with two unlikely companions, Greta, a scrappy, strong-willed girl he’s never much liked and Jack, a devil-may-care teenage pickpocket, Ronan is left with only his wits and his mom’s last words of advice: Trust no one.
That’s a lot for an ordinary kid to deal with. But then again, maybe Ronan’s not ordinary at all.

This book looks great! I hope I get a chance to read it.
The Blood Guard is a great book that I would like to perches, so I could read it at home again
This book is way better than harry potter!
Right from the start, The Blood Guard pulled me in with mystery and excitement. Evelyn Ronan Truelove is a seemingly normal, run-of-the-mill thirteen year old guy, until his whole life takes a dramatic turn when he finds out his mother is part of a secret group trying to save the world! Filled with action, fantasy, and mystery, this book is a good read.
This book has all the characteristics of ,well , a good book! It has action, mystery, and even suspense. But it has so many twists and turns that you feel like you are in a maze of suspense and astonishment. This book is so intriguing that I read it in as little as 3 hours.I throughely enjoyed this book and would recommend it.
This book had awesome humor which made me laugh constantly. It had adventure and action the whole way through and I recommend this to anyone who likes swords and SWEET magical skills. This book was about a boy named Evelyn (who goes by Ronan)Truelove. Somehow he gets caught up in a mess with people chasing after him and well... I don't want to spoil it. I highly recommend this to people who like action and adventure
I thought this was a pretty good book. The whole idea and plot of the story was different and interesting. It’s a surprisingly thin book for all that happened in the story. The Blood Guard is about 13 year old boy named Evelyn Ronan Truelove (he goes by Ronan). One day after school, his mother picks him up and tells him their being chased by people who want to kill them. Over the years Ronan’s mother Bree made him take classes like Ultimate Frisbee to Gymnastics but all those years what Ronan didn’t know was that he was secretly being trained to become a member of The Blood Guard. The guard protects the 36 “Pure” people, and if they all die the world comes to an end. Ronan, an overseer from the guard called Jack Dawkins, and a girl named Greta from his old school all are on the run from a society who want to kill all the pure and destroy the earth. I personally like Greta the best because she handles everything about the blood guard and info I won’t say cause I don’t want to spoil the book. My favorite part of the book would most likely be the end because there is always some sort of action going on and there are a couple of twists to witch I also wont spoil☺
im starting to read this hopefully its good:)
"The Blood Guard" by Carter Roy is a stellar start to a series. Evelyn Ronan Truelove, or as he prefers to be known, Ronan, leads an ordinary life, though he doesn't have many, well really any friends. Or so he thinks. One day his whole world is turned upside-down when Ronan finds out his mom is part of a group called the Blood Guard, a bunch who must protect the 36 "Pures". Without the Pures, souls who have eternal goodness, the world would be ruined. That's why its important the Pures be protected against the "bad guys". Oh, and, it just so happens these "bad guys" are after Ronan... Something this book reminded me of is the movie Abducted. The fact that a girl (in this case her name is Greta) must go along with the hero, in order to stay safe, and the fact that some fighting took part on a train, seems really similar. However, overall, this was a very enjoyable read :)
