Ronan's life was normal - until his mom picked him up from school and revealed her awesome fighting skills - and a whole load of secrets. This fast paced book was very entertaining and I would recommend it to anyone ages 9-12.
This book starts out in an ordinary situation, a boy, named Ronan is at school, but then his seemingly normal mother picks him up and immediately they are in an incredible car chase. His dad has been kidnapped and the kidnappers are after him as well. He ends up on an intense and crazy adventure with two friends, Greta and Jack. It turns out his mother is not quite a normal mother, she is a part of the Blood Guard, an ancient order of knights. This book will keep you up reading all night, I loved it so much!
I love this book! I would recommend this to all young readers. It's devilishly funny and has lots of action. The main character is running away from people who trying to kill him with a girl he hates and a teenager who pickpockets. All I want to say is: the people who know Ronan's (the main character) first name and has his picture so they can find him is sort of creepy.
I absolutely loved reading this book. It was very quick and moved fast. Right away we dove into the story. I loved how exciting this book was. In this book Evelyn "Ronan" Truelove is whisked off onto a hair-raising adventure, and tells him that his dad has been kidnapped, and she is part of a secret society, the Blood Guard. The group's mission is to protect the "Pure" from another society bent on destroying the world. Ronan's mom drops him off at a trainstation with a secret phrase to find a guide while she goes off to find her husband. Her last words are to trust no one. But things go wrong, and soon Ronan finds himself running from the bad guys with a former schoolmate Greta. But all is not as it seems. I loved how involving this book was. I was constantly being surprised, and waiting anxiously to find out the end. I can't wait to read the second book. I recommend this book for middle grade kids. Probably not for younger readers as there are some horrific ideas and scenes. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.
I just finished reading this book and it was a really cool adventure book. Ronan Truelove' s world has been turned inside out when he discovers he is apart of something much bigger than he is. His father has been taken and he and his awesome mother go and search for him. He had been training to be apart of the blood guard unknowingly and now has been thrust into fulfilling who he must become along with his friends to defeat the Bend Sinister.
This book is cool because it has action, humor,and adventure. This book deserves to be read over the summer because it is one of the best books so far.
I thought this book was great.Ronan,Greta,and Jack all team up to save The Blood Guard.This book was an adventurous slash mystery book.And I really enjoyed it.I totally recommend.
I like where this book is going a lot. Just blood is in the title and not exactly in the book!! That is a slightly bit misleading to me!! Still a great book for ll book lovers and we all say DOGO
This book is OK, if you like fantasy though i thought it was fine, since i read the blood guard series and its pretty good.
