The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho continues to change the lives of its readers forever. With more than two million copies sold around the world, The Alchemist has established itself as a modern classic, universally admired.
Paulo Coelho’s masterpiece tells the magical story of Santiago, an Andalusian shepherd boy who yearns to travel in search of a worldly treasure as extravagant as any ever found.
The story of the treasures Santiago finds along the way teaches us, as only a few stories can, about the essential wisdom of listening to our hearts, learning to read the omens strewn along life’s path, and, above all, following our dreams.

I read this book for school. It was a little strange and is basically a long fable. The main character is a boy named Santiago, who is a shepherd in Andalusia, Spain. He goes on this journey to the pyramids of Egypt and that is all I can say without spoiling the book.
it is really a very good book. it is a story of a shepherd who traveled to another continent to find treasure but finds treasure at his home . it is a adventurous story and love it
A queer, different, story about a young boy trying to fulfill his dream. The story goes into detail about the boy's life, and his thoughts on how the world works. It serves as a metaphor and tries to teach the reader that if you try hard, you can achieve what you were trying to.
