Princess academy definitely is one of the best fiction novels I've ever read. It is so imaginative- I don't know how the author thought of prairie speech- it's really magical and mysterious. I love how Shannon Hale gives us little clues on the way to hint at what will happen next. When I thought the book would be over, something very, very suspenseful happens and Miri needs prairie speech to save princess academy. I will recommend this book to anyone... who is a girl.

This book takes place in the past, but it feels as if you're right in the story, following Miri as she is torn from her people and her family to go to fight for a prince she doesn't want to fight for...or does she? Will she end up falling in love with the prince she was chosen to compete for, or will she choose her long-time friend and love, Peder? This story will take you only a few hours to read, with it's compelling story, it draws you right in from the start.
