A picture book text about colour, feelings and moods, bubbling with Dr Suess's trademark fun and emotional truth. First written in 1973, Suess's widow brought it to the attention of his editor after his death in 1991. The editor then commissioned the accompanying paintings from Johnson and Fancher.
