Rafe Khatchadorian has enough problems at home without throwing his first year of middle school into the mix. Luckily, he's got an ace plan for the best year ever, if he can pull it off. With his best friend Leonardo the Silent awarding him points, Rafe tries to break every rule in his school's oppressive Code of Conduct. Chewing gum in class - 5,000 points! Running in the hallway - 10,000 points! Pulling the fire alarm - 50,000 points! But when Rafe's game starts to catch up with him, he'll have to decide if winning is all that matters, or if he's finally ready to face the rules, bullies, and truths he's been avoiding.

this could help me for when I go to middle school.

it was a excellent book i loved it . i hope you read the books

it is a good book i really love it

This was so hilarious! A mixture of mischief, misbehavior, bullies, and art, James Patterson hit the jackpot on this one. I liked the fact that Rafe was getting POINTS for misbehaving. I strongly reccomend that YOU don't do the things Rafe does though, especially the fire alarm part.

I really know I probably should not like a book about a boy who breaks all the rules, but this was so fun! Lots of the characters made me laugh (especially their names) and think about some of the people in my own school. I will read more of the books in this series.

book is kinda good

This book resonates with the Diary of a wimpy kid novel, the idea that school is just like movies with bullies, awful teachers, and annoying siblings. How long does it take for one kid to break every rule for school? Rafe seems determined to find out.

Like many middle school students, Rafe feels alone, different, and lost. He is just trying to serve his middle school sentence and move on. On his first day, his first encounter with another student is with Miller the Killer, the class bully. Rafe’s plan to try to "keep [his] head down, try to blend in, and don’t get on anyone’s bad side" doesn’t work, and Miller makes him his target. During the school assembly, Rafe gets the idea to systematically break every rule in the Hills Village Middle School Code of Conduct. He and his best and only friend, Leo the Silent, create a reality-show game with points and exciting twists. Rafe’s unusual friendship with Leo will surprise most readers.
