Cassia has always trusted the Society to make the right choices for her: what to read, what to watch, what to believe. So when Xander's face appears on-screen at her Matching ceremony, Cassia knows with complete certainty that he is her ideal mate . . . until she sees Ky Markham's face flash for an instant before the screen fades to black.
The Society tells her it's a glitch, a rare malfunction, and that she should focus on the happy life she's destined to lead with Xander. But Cassia can't stop thinking about Ky, and as they slowly fall in love, Cassia begins to doubt the Society's infallibility and is faced with an impossible choice: between Xander and Ky, between the only life she's known and a path that no one else has dared to follow.

She gets matched with her best friend but she almost got matched with someone who wasn't supposed to be matched with anyone.
What will Cassia's decision be when faced with a huge life changing problem? The book Matched written by Ally Condie is about a society that picks everything for their citizens, such as food, clothing, jobs, and who they get matched with. When Cassia turns 17, she goes to her match banquet and she gets matched with her best friend Xander, but the next day when Cassia checks her micro card witch you get the night of your match banquet, she sees another boys face after Xander. After that Cassia falls in love with the other boy, and he has fallen in love with her. They have to keep a secret from everyone, especially the government. I would recommend this book to people because it is an adventure that never ends. Cassia has many more secrets to keep with the help of the boy she fell in love with. If you want to find out Cassia's other match or her other secrets read the book matched.

I loved Ally Condie's book series, Matched. I loved to follow the journey of Cassia in the society. It is a very well crafted book, with intertwining story lines, brilliant, descriptive scenery, and a whole believable time ahead of ours. The book features so many amazing concepts, from the society to matching to the other lands. I love how Ally Condie makes plot twist that keep you on your feet but at the same time, has moments that make you certain that Cassia, Ky, Xander, and the rest of the charters from this trilogy will get a happy ending.
Have you ever been faced with a huge decision? In this book called Matched by Ally Condie Cassia's life changes in many ways. Some ways for the better and other ways for the worse. The book takes place in the province of Oria which is where Cassia and her family live. Cassia lives with her parents and her brother, Bram. When you turn 17 you are put into the matching pool by the society. Your match is presented to you at a match banquet. Your match is the person you will be married to. It was a surprise to everyone when Cassia was matched with her best friend Xander. Everything seemed to be going great until she saw Ky Markham's face flash on her micro card that was supposed to have Xander's face on it. This moment was the turning point of the book. Cassia is the protagonist and the officials are the antagonists. The officials decide your whole life for you and Cassia isn't going to let that happen. Two major conflicts in this book are Cassia not being able to have the life he wants and also hiding things from the officials and Xander. This book had a great ending that made me want to read the next book. I recommend reading this book and I hope you like it as much as I did!
I really liked this intriguing book and I can't wait to read the next book in the series. I liked the main character in the book, Cassia. She is slightly rebellious but still keeps her thoughts to herself because she isn't selfish. What I didn't like was the ending, because I hate cliffhangers. It's also something that can actually happen in the future, because the setting is an utopia (similar to Divergent, the Hunger Games, etc.) The author is in a way, predicting the future of modern society but also making it realistic and believable at the same time. What I learned in this book was - some people will do anything for love, even if they are risking their own lives.
This book was really good! I am searching EVERYWHERE for the sequel, Crossed. I'm so anxious to find out what happens next!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
so far it is very interesting and it is getting to a very good part you might want to check it out.
