This book is amazing the poems are good, good grammer and very descriptive. SPOILER ALERT Jacks yellow dog dies from a blue muddy car speeding down the road. :(

GREAT BOOK READ IT JACK IS THE CUTTEST KID EVER ONCE YOU READ THIS BOOK YOU WILL LOVE DOGS.Its sad what happens to jacks dog!!:(
this was an interesting book
It is a fun poem book about a boy who starts out not liking poems but now he does.
This is a really good book, I recommend it to people that don't like books with a lot of pages, this book is really short but leaves you with a strong message when you finish it.

It sounds like a great book. I almost bought it because I love reading poetry books. If you do too, may I suggest a better one? "Inside out and back again". Great book about a girl moving from Saigon during a war. *SPOILER ALERT* Her dad dies and her mom and brothers are sad as well as the girl too. People at her new school make fun of her and call her "Pancake face" because of her Asian body and short straight hair. She is the number one target for an albino boy that she calls pink boy. He is probrably mean to her because he suffers bullying himself. I know that I started talking about another book just now but "love that dog" sounds great. Sharon Creech is a talented author and I really enjoy her stories. P.S.- As a fifth grader, Sharon Creech is my favorite author at the time.

My opinion of this book is a very short, but strong book. This book may only take a few minutes to read, but in those few minutes it teaches you a lot. It talks about love, and sadness. Jack's dog Sky, makes him very emotional sometimes. Which leads to him loving him, and being sad about him all in different ways. This is a very powerful book even though it may be short. I recommend this book to any audience, because it is a simple yet powerful book to read. It is a book that some elementary school kids will understand, but adults may like it too. This is an easy to read book as stated before, but any audience would like it.
this extremely clever story will find it self in the hands of 10 year-olds all through ages to 80. this book inspired me too write poetry and short stories. it is extremely sad though at the end.
