This book is about a kid and what he has to do to help save a few owls. The man character Roy finds himself chasing a kid and is helping him to stop a construction site to save these owls. This book is about what Roy and mullet fingers do to risk themselves.
In the book hoot a boy sees someone running when he's on th bus and than he follows him to see where he's going and he figures out that the boy is trying to save owls that are at a construction site.
this is an awesome book from Carl Hiaasen. he is an amazing author!

This book was amazing.After reading it, I had no idea what was going on,because somewhere in the book I must've actually fallen into the book.I had to talk and talk to get my feeling out and really feel the book.This book was so good I thought empathy and I had connections,like I have had in many books,but not like this one.I really recommend it and I am not just writing this for fun,but you really should read it.I love this book!!!!!!

Want to read so bad
I'm reading the book Hoot by Carl Hiaasen. It is a really good book about a boy named Roy. On his first day when his face is being smashed on the bus window. By a bully named Dana Matherson he sees a boy. The boy was running fast but who was he were was he going? The boy had no shoes no socks and no backpack. Who is this guy? It is a really good book.
